Ann, Amy & Robin, Season's Greetings!
I just had to pass this on to you. Lexie and Lulu love music; for some reason they especially like to have me sing and play the piano for them. It's comical to see them relax so suddenly and completely as I begin to play and/or sing. They seem to really like The Christmas Song [Chestnuts roasting....] Like Teddy, they have their favorites!
Today I sat down to play for them; Lexie resting flat on floor, head between paws in restful bliss, Lulu lying on the floor beside the piano bench. She started to do what she does when she's really happy: she lies down and kind of runs in place with her hind feet, stretching herself out and wriggling around on the floor. She often offers me her front paw and wants to 'hold hands' while I play, so I accomodate her and play with my right hand, holding her paw with my left. Suddenly I hit a sour note and her head raised up off the floor, paw still holding my left hand, and gave me SUCH a look! Distress, surprise, irritation, disppointment...I laughed so hard I had to stop playing.
So, you can now safely state that Gold-Rush produces dogs with a fine ear for music, among their other attributes! [Lexie didn't seem to notice, she just lay there peacefully!]
Happy Holidays!
