Hello Ann,

We traveled in the motor home for close to 2 years. For the past 2 years

we have used the motor home for winter trips to Florida and for local

weekend trips in MI. We are planing to resume our travels in 2 years but

the economy will play a big part in when we can resume our travels.

Missy loved to travel in the motor home. She would sit or lay on the

couch and watch the scenery go by just like you or I would. When Missy

was diagnosed on June 2nd, we considered canceling our summer plans to

travel northern Mi. But than we though about how much Missy like to

travel, we decided to continue our summer plans. In the 4 weeks since

June 2nd we made 3 trips to norther Michigan and Missy just loved the

trips. We made a point to get in some swimming time for her. Our summer

camp site in on a lake and Missy would spend her time there just looking

out over the lake and taking in all the sights and sounds. We did a few

hikes into the woods and Missy acted like a 5 year old. However Saturday

afternoon when we returned from a swimming trip to Lake Michigan, Missy

had her first seizure. To say the least it scared the hell out of Pat

and I, but Missy came out of it fine. Later that evening she had another

seizure and they continued through the night about every 4 hours. We had

planned to stay until mid week but we decided we needed to get Missy

home so we could get her some help that was failure with her condition.

Early Sunday we started for home and Missy did not have a seizure for

the 6 hr trip home, however upon arriving home she again had a seizure.

She did not have any seizures during the night but was very disoriented

and unstable on her feet. About 8 am this morning the seizures started

again and she could not shake off the effects so I called the vet and

her feeling was that the cancer had spread to most likely the kidneys.

After another violent seizure we decided it was best that we put her

down. I called the vet and made arraignments.

Sunny was always with us during the illness and he seemed to communicate

with Missy in his own way. The 3 of us had 4 weeks to super spoil Missy

and tell her how much we loved her. At this time there is a calm feeling

in this home but I am sure the tears will be around for some time to

come. I could write a book on all the things our 3 goldens have taught me.

We would be delighted if you include decide to include my e-mail in your

web site. Missy's picture is the one on the bed. I check you site about

once a month to see what is happing. I have been giving some thought to

starting obedience training with Sunny and at least try for the CD title.

Thank you for caring, Pat and I have always enjoyed your company.
