Dear Ann,
I never thought I would wake up one morning with an eight week old puppy
sleeping on my head. Twenty years ago I finally gave in to everyone
wanting a puppy and that was where it all began. I remember every detail
of that day. One, I could not believe I was "going along with it", two,
stepping into a world I had never known but because of the puppy we
bought, having animals has become my world. He became the love of my
life (after I got over my fear of dogs), I bought him a leather bomber
jacket and his bowl was in the shape of a crown with "real" jewels. They
should have been!
I wasn't even sure how to pet a dog and now after many Gold-Rush Goldens
later, we teach people how to massage dogs and horses. It has become our
life and our livelihood and we love it. The joy they have brought us
goes off the scale.
The comfort they have given us is even more. They have been God's
greatest gift to us and saved us from ourselves during a long financial
crisis and the death of our son, Eric, in a Marine Corps training
accident. He was the one who stepped on the hose as Tank was drying off
from a bath:)
Our new pup, Timmy has all of the most wonderful qualities of all of the
dogs. Thank you for your intuition in selecting him for us. He is
beautiful...and brilliant, too. Even he shows us how to live at this
young age.
It was so special seeing you again. The memories and the gift of a new
puppy were overwhelming, to say the least.
Thank you for Timothy J. McNabb. Thank you for all of them.
Sincerely,
Mary Schreiber
